The substance was baptised, "The Blood of the Gods". The research was led by an ambitious and extremely talented scientist, Dr Stein, who developed the "Blood of the Gods" and ultimately, the super soldiers. Skarlet was one of the first soldiers who was genetically modified by the substance. She, as well as other qualified American soldiers, volunteered for the procedure for the sake of a greater good. Her body accepted the substance, and with that she became one of the pillars for the creation of an army of super soldiers. These were created in the hopes of ending the bloody wars around the world. However, no one had been aware that Dr Stein was under the control of a non-human force. Within the Genesis meteor, an alien organic artifact called Aeon had been imprisoned. Aeon took control of Dr Stein and infected him. Aeon also expanded the doctor's knowledge so that the project would reach its ultimate potential, and when success was achieved, Aeon infected every soldiers and created a totally loyal army of super-humans. Every soldiers who received the "Blood of the Gods", eventually lost their conscience and sense of justice. Skarlet was no esception, however, she as well as three others received additional powers from the procedure. These four became Aeon's elite soldiers. They became killing machines whose only service is to Aeon. Powers Energy blasts: Skarlet can unleash blasts of energy that attacks a target's nervous system. The energy penetrates the nerves and the target feels a strong shot of pain throughout his body. Skarlet can also send that energy through direct touch. In this fashion, the pain she inflicts doubles in intensity and if she persists, the target will die burning inside to out. Gliding: Skarlet can take to the air and glide and do moderate flying. Physical and energy resistance: Skarlet wears an armour which nullifies pain, enabling her to take greater damage. Enhanced vitals: Skarlet's body can take more punishment that a normal human body because she feels no pain. Her lack of pain also allows her to lift weights her body wold be reluctant to lift. She can push it to around half a ton. Weaknesses: Skarlet's power of pain also affects her directly. As she inflicts pain she also feels it. For that reason, she uses a special armor designed by the military, to nullify the effect of pain in her body. If the armor is destroyed completely, Skarlet will die in excruciating and agonizing pain. Of the 4 super soldiers loyal to Aeon, Skarlet is the only woman and the only one that still manages to resist to Aeon's control. Skarlet constantly alternates her personality from the sadistic and cruel Skarlet to something more melancholic and emotive. During these moments of crisis, Skarlet becomes exposed and more vulnerable. |
