As such, she and others were often shown appearing on posters and traveling with the USO but during one such tour, she was captured by Axis powers. Thinking she knew about the Allies' plans, they tortured her for days. She passed out many times during these interrogations, but her captors revived her time and again. They eventually accepted the fact that she knew nothing of value, but they insisted on keeping her alive anyway simply to satisfy their sadistic pleasure. They even went as far as giving her a transfusion when her blood loss had been too great. But that had been a mistake. Unbeknownst to them they accidentally gave her the wrong blood. A nurse has left a cart unattended and one of the doctors had picked up a vial from it. Since the blood type on the bottle was the one he needed, he did not give it a second glance. In fact, however, the blood belonged to none other than Mr. Okada, the leader of the Axis's elite force, the Society of Evil. He had been storing some of his blood in case he might need it in an emergency. The blood's uniqueness wreaked havoc in Rose's system and she went into shock and convulsions before she flat lined. Still unaware of their mistake the doctors figured she had died from her injuries and dumped her body amidst others in a ditch. It was hours later that she began to breath again. The doctors had been mistaken. She had not died. Her shallow breathing became stronger and she awoke. She was in a lot of pain but she also felt stronger. She extracted herself from the pile of bodies and started to make her escape. Fortunately for her, the body pit was not considered a threat and only a couple of guards were stationed there. Rose made her move but was spotted. She heard the shot and felt the bullet impact her. She fell and as she lay there waiting for the inevitable, she realized that the bullet had not penetrated her. In fact it was barely a scratch. She lay there pretending to be dead but when she heard one of the guards say he was going to shoot her again to make sure she was dead, she leaped up and took him down. She turned to the second guard. He hesitated a second too long and she punched him hard. The impact cracked his skull. Free at last, Rose took off running. She ran non stop and a day later she finally found allied troops. They took her to the local MASH unit where she was examined but found her to be in perfect health. Rose was eventually debriefed and upon seeing her impressing skills in action, the military made her their official poster girl. Now equipped with compact rivet guns strapped around her arms and training alongside military elites, Rosie the Riveter helps the allies fight the war. To this day, no one knows how Rose got her abilities, not even her since she was unconscious when it happened. Powers Super strength: Rosie's strength has been enhanced to the point where she can lift around 1600 lbs. Enhanced vitals: The effects produced by Okada's blood in her system has increased her body's endurance and recuperative capabilities. Physical resistance: Her strengthened physiology enables her to resist greater impacts and even small arms fire. Paraphernalia: She wears special rivet guns strapped to her arms. These can fire rivets like bullets. |
