Growing up, he learned the ways of the Zulu warriors as well as the ways of his mother's tribe, which relied heavily on magic. The study of magic was restricted to nobles and descendants of witch doctors. Fortunately, Shaka was a descendant of both. When he turned 18, he went to University in England. Alongside his academic studies, he continued studying and practicing his magic, and became quite adept at the art. Then the world changed. WW2 broke out, and it seemed like the end of the world was at hand. Even his beloved South Africa was dragged into the war. Shaka was pulled into service and, like all men his age, was required to fight for Great Britain. It was during one of the battles against the Germans that an officer noticed Shaka using magic during the battle. The officer pulled him from the front lines and sent him to a special division in the process of forming teams with unique abilities. Taking the name Magisto, he joined The Liberty Alliance. Their contribution to the war efforts helped swing the war. Powers Magic: Magisto has studied the magic of the Zulu nation. The magic has some similarities to Voodoo magic. He uses incantations and can cast spells with the use of his cane, which acts as a wand. Teleportation: He can teleport himself around the world. His teleportation can also be used to obtain objects from a distance. He has often used it to teleport his enemy's weapon into his grasp. Flight: He can fly at moderate speed. Limitations: Although he has learned dark spells, he will not cast those that cause death. Paraphernalia: He uses a cane when in hand-to-hand situations. He also uses it to cast spells. |
