He is unpredictable, sly, and fond of pranks that can be cruel and disruptive. Eshu, who knows all the languages spoken on earth, serves as a messenger between the gods and people. He also carries up to heaven the sacrifices that people offer to the gods. According to one story, Eshu became the messenger after playing a trick on the High God. He stole yams from the god`s garden, used the god`s slippers to make footprints there, and then suggested that the god had stolen the yams himself. Annoyed, the High God ordered Eshu to visit the sky every night and tell him what happened on earth during the day. Eshu mettles with man because of boredom a lot of times he will start fights between supergroups, heroes, villains and nations. Powers Persuasion: Eshu can manipulate anyone into getting into fights his power to persuade people into doing his wish has lead to many problems. Eshu doesn't fight very often himself and prefers to manipulate someone to do his fighting for him. Physical resistance: Being a god himself he has denser skin and can take massive amounts of damage before feeling its effects. Super strength: Enabling him to lift 10 tons. Enhanced intelligence: His intelligence is incredible. He knows things about everyone, which usually helps in his persuasion. Cross-dimensional travel: Travels to the dimension of the gods on a daily basis. Teleportation: He has the ability to teleport between realms. Weaknesses: For the most part Eshu is stuck on Earth. He only travels for the purpose of delivering his daily reports to the higher gods. |
