His size and strength made him a natural choice, and at the time of Tut's death he was ordered to continue protecting his king. He was to be mummified and placed into Tut's tomb. The King's wizards cast spells on Adofo to ensure he would awaken if anyone disturbed the king's sleep, and was given the means to protect his king in the afterlife. His abilities were enhanced. His strength and resistance to injury would rival that of the gods, and his bandages were transformed from cloth to living iron. In 1922 a team led by Howard Carter discovered Tut's tomb. Upon entering it, Adofo was awakened and attacked the intruders, killing many of them. The remaining members hid until reinforcements arrived and with the help of the army, they managed to subdue him. Adofo was brought to a secret government base, where he was placed in stasis. Years later, an inexperienced employee at the facility accidentally turned off the power to the stasis device. Adofo was freed, but had no idea where he was or what to do with his life. He had failed his king. His resting place had been defiled, and his body was being displayed in museums across the world. There was no going back. Adofo wandered aimlessly, hiding from the authorities, and trying to evade a nation-wide search for his capture,until Gorgo the leader of the Heretics found him and told him that he could give him purpose and join others like himself, Adofo found a place where he could belong. Powers Invulnerability: He seems to be immune to most forms of modern weapons, capable of withstanding projectiles and energy weapons. Super strength: His enhanced strength enables him to lift around 120 tons. Extended lifespan: The magic that created him has allowed him to be dormant for thousands of years, but it is unclear if it still sustains him now that he has awakened. Weaknesses: He was created through magic and can also be affected by it. |
