They prescribed him fever medicine and informed his parents to give him lots of fluids. At first, the medicine seemed to help, but as the fevers returned, the medicine was less and less effective. His parents were getting frustrated and began to wonder if Aiden's ailments were simply a ruse for not going to school. But Aiden insisted that he was burning up. Then one night, there was a fire in his house. The fire dept did their investigation and determined that the fire had started in Aiden's bedroom. They eventually ruled it an accident, but then, it happened again. Aiden's dad accused his son of having started the fire on purpose, and called him a worthless firebug and pyromaniac, and when the insurance company refused to pay for the burnt down house, his dad told him to get lost and never come back. Alone, homeless and angry, Aiden lashed out at anyone who crossed him, until one day, he saw it for the first time; fire had flowed out of his fingertips and had burnt his victim to a crisp. It was then that he realized his father had been right. He had caused the fire in his house, after all. Rather than feeling guilt for what he had done, Aiden felt brazen. He had a power inside him. Once he learned to control it, he would be unstoppable. And in time, he did. Burning down those who defied him became his means of retaliation. He was still homeless, but he was now feared. His name was whispered among the homeless. Fyrebug was out here. Fyrebug ruled the dark. Fyrebug survived doing small theft crimes, until he was approached by a man calling himself, Knight Panda. He wanted to recruit him for his organization, The Unjust. Feeling the need to be a part of something more, Aiden agreed to his offer. He wondered if joining a team could make up for the family element that was missing from his life. Then again, getting a regular meal and a roof over his head wasn't a bad deal either. Powers Heat generation: Fyrebug can create extreme heat emanating from his whole body. He can generate sufficient heat to tunnel a path below ground. Fire blast: He can direct the heat through his hands and blast fire. Weaknesses: Cold temperatures can affect his abilities. Paraphernalia: His armor helps regulate his heat and helps with his tunnelling. |
