The bright lights, the loud blasts, the colorful explosions. She couldn't get enough, and that usually got her into trouble. During the annual "Symphony of Fire" fireworks show, Brittney purposefully tripled the safe amounts to all the fireworks she prepared and when the first one failed to launch right, it exploded on the barge, killing 3 of the people launching them and severely injuring 7 more. Brittney was promptly arrested for reckless endangerment and criminally negligent manslaughter. She was sentenced to 5 years in prison and, to add insult to injury, was stripped of her license to handle explosives and forbidden from ever being a pyrotechnician in Vancouver or Canada. Angry and bitter that her life's passion was taken from her, she plotted and schemed on ways to get her vengeance. She broke out of prison and quickly cobbled together some bombs and other explosives, made herself a costume and started calling herself Bombshell. In the course of a week every board member that decided to revoke her license was dead. With supplies running low and the cops on her tail, she needed to leave. Hearing of a supervillain named Dr. Iniquitous who has been known to grant superpowers to "less than law-abiding individuals", she packed her bags, did a few bank jobs for cash and headed to America for a new future. Powers Molecular excitation: Was granted the ability to generate explosions by exciting the molecules of objects. She can use this ability through touch alone. Agility: She is an excellent gymnast and a skilled parkour runner, enabling her to be very agile, hard to hit in a fight and helps in escaping pursuit. Weaknesses: Without her gauntlets she's a lot less effective. Also, being relatively new to the supervillain scene, she is prone to rookie mistakes. Paraphernalia: She has a pair of power gloves that allow her to generate the explosive power and focus it into explosive blasts. They also allow for her explosive powers to be used at a range. Her strongest recorded blast had the explosive force of one fifth the atomic blast that leveled Hiroshima. Also carries various grenades and explosive devices as well as power gloves . |
